Save Our Economy.
A gainfully employed friend of mine admitted his family was taking measures to permanently cut back spending at home. Surprised, I asked him why and he said “With the economy in such bad shape, we need to save money.” He suggests their family will make do without and buy when things improve.
Herein lies the problem.
When people hold back spending because of fear, they become part of the problem and push the economy faster into a deadly death spiral. If we continue to let the headlines dictate how we should hunker down, save money, stay home and “wait out the storm”, everyone loses. We all fail.
Or…
We can be our own solution!
Let’s show the World just how powerful we are. Spend $25, $50, $200, or whatever you need to buy the things you have been putting off because you are fearful of the economy. Nearly everything from clothing, electronics, cars, homes, stocks, etc are ON SALE at huge discounts now. Let the World know that “US Citizens” are what makes the U.S. the most powerful economy in the World. That’s right, you and I are more powerful than the biggest banks, mortgage companies, and auto manufacturers.
Our spending is actually an investment in our country. For example, your $200 generates money that covers product costs, advertising, payroll, shipping, utilities, and tax revenue your city needs for road repair, hospitals, police, and social programs. The list goes on. When we don’t spend, we hurt ourselves, others, and affect more than you can imagine.
Together we can and will make a difference and show who’s in charge of our destiny. Let’s show that when we put fear aside, we will realize that everything will be OK moving forward. We’ll generate so much revenue in one weekend that we may save companies, stores, and ultimately jobs across the U.S. and the World. We’ll give ourselves confidence and pull ourselves out of the current economic mess. But most of all, we will recognize our own power in fixing our own problems and not letting fear paralyze us or our economy.
